The Ancient Faith in Berlin
St. Elias Malankara Syriac Orthodox Church is a vibrant Jacobite parish serving the Malankara Syrian Orthodox community in Berlin and across Germany. We are part of the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church in Europe — a Patriarchal Vicariate under the supreme primacy of His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Aprem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East.
Our church follows the West Syriac Rite, one of the oldest liturgical traditions in Christianity, tracing its roots back to the apostolic era through St. Peter's throne at Antioch and St. Thomas the Apostle's mission to India.
We welcome all faithful to join us in worship, prayer, and fellowship as we preserve our rich Syriac heritage while living out our faith in the multicultural landscape of Berlin.
Our Tradition
The Malankara Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church upholds the faith of the first three Ecumenical Councils, maintaining the ancient liturgy, sacraments, and spiritual disciplines handed down through generations of Syrian Orthodox faithful.
